What comes to mind when you hear the word “healing”?

I’ve often wondered what “healing” really means. Of course, there are many things we do that feel healing—like getting a massage, enjoying soothing aromas, or soaking in a hot spring. In those moments, we feel relaxed and comforted. But as soon as we return to our daily routines, the stress creeps back in, and we find ourselves needing that healing all over again. So I started to ask myself: Can something that only helps temporarily truly be called healing?

Several months ago, I was inspired to explore what it really takes to be a healer. I found a lot of "healer training programs" but none of them really resonated with me. Eventually, my search led me to the work of David Elliott. His books moved me deeply—I couldn’t stop reading. I decided to try the breathing meditation he describes and began practicing it almost every day, along with the exercises he shares.

I’ve always considered myself a generally healthy person—physically and emotionally—so I didn’t think I needed healing. But as I continued the breathwork, something unexpected happened: buried feelings began to surface. Sadness, painful memories, self-doubt, anxiety about the future—all of it came rushing in. Yet, by sticking with the practice, just as David recommends, I found I was able to work through those emotions and truly heal them. Through breathwork and self-love, I began to feel more grounded, balanced, and even more open to abundance in my life.

Recently, I completed David Elliott’s Healer Training Program and became a certified healer. Along the way, I learned that being a healer isn’t about having magical powers or waving your hands over someone (lol). Instead, I discovered that real healing happens when the person seeking it takes an active role in their own process. At most, I see myself as a guide—someone who can support and facilitate healing through breathwork.

If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to try David’s “7-Minute Breathing Meditation,” available on Spotify or his website. If you’re curious but feel unsure, I’d be happy to guide you through a personal session—online or in person (if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area). I also highly recommend reading his books. I truly believe that with consistent practice, you’ll not only experience deep, lasting healing but also invite more abundance into your life.

And just to be clear—this isn’t some kind of psychic ability, strange religion, or mystical spell (lol). It’s a simple, practical method of healing through breath and self-awareness. You don’t need me or anyone else to do it for you—you already have the power within you. But if you’d like a gentle push or a guide to walk alongside you as you begin, I’d love to help.
